Anthony Gliozzo Team Johnson & Johnson

How did you get involved with the MMRF?

I have recently joined the Johnson and Johnson Oncology team and I live to ride.  Personally and professionally, this event is a very important and exciting part of my life.

What do you want people to know about multiple myeloma?

Multiple myeloma, like all cancers is a disease that impacts so many people and their loved ones.  As a result, there are greater opportunities to care for patients who have multiple myeloma by continuing to fund and conduct research and ultimately work towards a cure.  I am proud to work for a company that is committed to helping health care providers and their patients develop and provide life changing solutions to cancer.

Why is participating in the MMRF Road to Victories ride important to you?

It is important for me to participate in the MMRF ride because I want to be involved, engaged, and knowledgeable about the patient who has multiple myeloma.  To do anything wholeheartedly, I believe action must be taken.  Supporting MMRF in 2024 is one of the ways I am taking action.

What are you looking most forward to/excited about the ride?

Being with my colleagues and patients in a beautiful place.  Experiencing this moment of life together.

What does your training regimen for this event look like?

Biking, Yoga, Healthy Eating and Proper Recovery

Who/what inspires you?

Patients with multiple myeloma inspire me.  Anyone who perseveres through adversity inspires me.

Have you participated in previous MMRF events? If so, which/when?

This is my first MMRF event.

 Anything additional to add?

Let’s ride safe and remember the purpose of our ride!!

The Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (MMRF) is the largest nonprofit in the world solely focused on accelerating a cure for each and every multiple myeloma patient. We drive the development and delivery of next-generation therapies, leverage data to identify optimal and more personalized treatment approaches, and empower myeloma patients and the broader community with information and resources to extend their lives. Central to our mission is our commitment to advancing health equity so that all myeloma patients can benefit from the scientific and clinical advances we pursue. Since our inception, the MMRF has committed over $500 million for research, opened nearly 100 clinical trials, and helped bring 15+ FDA-approved therapies to market, which have tripled the life expectancy of myeloma patients.
